Tsakhnakia Tamuna (Tamoonz) is a Georgian artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. She completed her degree in Media Art & Graphic Design from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. From an early age, she has been fascinated by graffiti and street art and has become one of the first generation of Graffiti and street Artists in Georgia. Tamoonz has been painting since childhood and has received inspiration from her father who is also an artist. She got her first invitation to participate in an international street art festivals in 2012 and, today, Tamoonz is known and respected by the global street art community.

‘‘People are always curious to see a woman painting such a big wall” she says. “We live in a world of stereotypes, and I’m happy I’m ruining that in a way. The role of women in arts is very important, we have our vision and that has to be spread around the world more. In previous centuries art created by women was largely ignored and hidden, that is the reason we see fewer female artists represented in museums all around the world. But now we see amazing women in every art direction.
